VenueZoo Accessibility Statement
Last updated 9/10/2026
Effective Date: September 10th, 2026
VenueZoo, LLC ("VenueZoo," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making the VenueZoo website and platform (the "Service") usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement describes our ongoing efforts and how to reach us with feedback or a request for accommodation.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to design and build the Service so that Venue Explorers, Property Owners, Venue Managers, Service Providers, and Venue Scouts of all abilities can use it effectively. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project, and we expect this statement to evolve as our work continues.
2. Standard We're Working Toward
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), currently version 2.1 Level AA, as our internal reference point for evaluating and improving the Service. This reflects a goal we are working toward, not a certification we currently hold.
3. What We've Built with So Far
Accessibility considerations already reflected in the Service include, among others:
- Descriptive alternative text on listing photos, event and gallery images, location maps, and shareable QR codes.
- Form fields with persistent, programmatically-associated labels across account creation, listing claims, and RSVP forms — not placeholder text alone.
- A "skip to main content" link for keyboard and assistive-technology users to bypass repeated navigation.
- Natively keyboard-operable interactive elements, including expandable/collapsible sections built with standard HTML controls that work with keyboard navigation without additional scripting.
- Voice input as an alternative to typing on several search and form fields across the Service, with a standard text-input option always available as the primary method — voice is additive, never required.
- Semantic page structure (header, navigation, and main content regions) to support navigation by assistive technology.
4. Known Limitations
No website is perfectly accessible to everyone, and we don't yet have a full, independent accessibility audit of the Service. Some areas — such as content submitted by Property Owners, Venue Managers, and Service Providers (including photos and descriptions), or third-party embedded content such as maps — may not fully meet accessibility guidelines, since VenueZoo does not control that content directly.
Specific known gaps we are actively working to resolve include: some interactive dialogs on the Service (such as confirmation and preview windows) do not yet trap keyboard focus or close via the Escape key; and some video content does not yet include captions or transcripts. We are actively working through this list and will update it as items are resolved. If you encounter either of these barriers, or any other barrier not listed here, please contact us using the information below.
5. Feedback and Accommodation Requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier while using the Service, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within seven (7) business days, and will work with you toward a solution.
6. Third-Party Content and Links
The Service may link to, or display content from, third-party websites and services that VenueZoo does not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content.
7. Changes to This Statement
We will update this statement as our accessibility work progresses. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
